FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What are bio-identical hormones?

Bio-Identical hormones are plant-based, natural substances that our bodies can metabolize in the way it was designed to do, minimizing side effects. These compounded bio-identicals can be matched to each patient’s unique needs, something that’s impossible with mass-manufactured products.

What are hormone pellets?

Hormone pellets are natural and identical to the hormone structure of the hormones we already make in our body. The pellet is a purified powder that is compressed with over 50,000 pounds of pressure to get it to stick together. Unlike some pellet manufacturers that use sprayed plastic compounds to get the powder to adhere to itself. This is not only a non-human compound but may be a known carcinogen like poly-vinyl chloride. Our pellets are the highest quality both in performance and safety.

Why are they better than other forms of treatment

Pellets offer treatment 24 hours a day 7 days a week continually for months. There is no other method of hormone treatment that can be as consistent and long lasting. This allows the body to completely cure itself of conditions like osteoporosis and gives suffers of fibromyalgia and arthritis a much needed boost with combating their symptoms.

How are the hormone pellets used? Where do they go?

Hormone pellets are inserted just under the skin in the fatty part of the hip. This allows them quick access to the blood supply of the body. The hormones enter the blood supply during cardio-metabolic activity.

How often will I need treatment? For how long?

Men are typically seen in our office every 5-6 months for treatment. Women are typically treated 3-4 times a year. This makes hormone pellet treatment ideal for busy and active lifestyles that do not want the hassles of continued visits to the doctor and pharmacy. Hormone depletion is a condition for which the body no longer produces optimal hormone levels. Therefore, to keep optimal levels at all times you will continue treatment until optimal levels are no longer desired.

Do I have to sign a contract? How much does it cost?

We do NOT force our patients to sign a high dollar annual contract often times costing thousands of dollars up front. We would rather tailor each program for the individual and treat only when needed. Therefore, we charge only at the time of service for each individual treatment. Since this is not a one-size-fits-all program the treatment costs vary depending on the individual. This will be discussed at your consultation.

How do I get started?

We ask all of our future patients to watch the videos here on our website. This accomplishes many things. It helps you to understand the procedure in more detail, explains the medical science to a greater degree and will answer the vast majority of any remaining questions you may have. We want you to be fully informed and active in your health care. After watching and listening to the video presentations, please go to the Mens Health or Womens Health page and fill out the forms needed for your visit with us. Lastly, call our office to request your labwork order that will be needed. YOU MUST STOP ALL VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO LABWORK. Many vitamins now have ingredients that can cause interference with hormone levels.

What if I currently take hormones?

It is best to completely stop all treatment prior to drawing “your labwork” but in some instances there may be an exception.
